Title Deed Fees for Property Purchase and Sale
Certain fees are charged by the Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre during property purchase and sale transactions in Turkey. Title deed fees are usually shared between the buyer and the seller, but the parties are free in this regard and may vary depending on the agreement.
Title Deed Fee: The fee to be paid at the land registry for the property purchase-sale transaction is determined as 4% of the sales price. This fee can be divided between the buyer and the seller or each of them can pay their own share. For example, when a property worth 100,000 TL is purchased, the title deed fee will be 4,000 TL in total.
Other Fees: During the title deed procedures, there may also be costs such as TCIP (Natural Disaster Insurance) and expertise fees that have not been received before. DASK insurance is compulsory, especially in house purchases, and the insurance cost varies according to the value of the immovable.
Notary Fees: Notaries also charge a fee for transactions made with a power of attorney. Notary fees vary according to the type and content of the power of attorney.
The fees specified in land registry transactions may change every year and may be in line with the rates set by local governments. Before making an investment, it is important to find out the current fees at the land registry office.
